After my best mate told me that she was getting married, I was asked straight away to be in charge of her hen party. To her, the final night of freedom was just as important as the many years of marriage that were going to follow- so, no pressure on me to organise a phenomenal girls night out! The night out was easy to sort out straight away; when you get our group together, all we need is a city with lots of night life and everything else sorts itself out.

But as for what we were going to get up to during the day? Well, we weren’t exactly the types to go to a spa to get pampered; as my mate said, she’s settling down after her wedding, not before it. What we all needed was something action packed, to get us in the mood for a lively night out. We couldn’t think of anything that would wake us up more than paintball- most people think it is just a lads sport. Put us on a battlefield with some guys and they’ll see who’s boss in no time!

I went on The Activity People website to book our place and was happy to find out that the team could also arrange our entire evening for us too. There were great rates on accommodation and entry to local clubs if we booked with them; we could have a cracking weekend away from our home town without having to worry too much about booking in all sorts of different places. When we told the bride our plans for the weekend, she couldn’t wait to get straight out onto the battlefield and start shooting.

When we got to the site on the day of the hen do, the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to give us a perfect day out. They knew you only ever got one hen night, so did everything they could to make sure it was unforgettable for all the right reasons. We played plenty of classic paintball games during the day and we won every single one. I didn’t know the bride could be so deadly when she was handed a paintball gun. But then, there is nothing more fun in the world than splattering some blokes with paint and beating them at their own game.

Thanks to the Activity People, I could arrange a brilliant hen experience. There are plenty of other activities I want to take part in, so I’ll definitely think about booking again.
