If everything goes to plan, you only get married once, so you have to do everything you can to make sure the stag weekend is as messy as possible. You won’t be able to party this much once you’ve settled down, so you have to seize the opportunity while you can! When my best mate asked me to be his best man, I went out of the way to make sure the guys had the wildest night possible. The only problem was choosing what we were going to do during the day.

We all wanted to do something exciting that we won’t all have the time for once he’s tied the knot, but we couldn’t settle on one idea. There was just so much to choose from on The Activity People website and all of it sounded perfect to kick off the stag celebrations. As we could only choose one activity out of hundreds, the decision became incredibly difficult. We wanted to keep it a surprise from the stag, but we also needed to make sure the weekend was tailor made to his needs.

It was difficult for us to guess exactly what the stag would want, when we had so many activities to choose from, so the guys devised a plan. We’d treat him to an Activity People gift voucher in advance of the stag, then whatever he chose would be the activity the rest of us would book onto. It was a perfect plan, that would leave nobody disappointed- after all, whatever he chose, we knew was going to be action packed.

It may be a bit weird giving the stag a gift voucher weeks before his wedding in order to plan his surprise day out, but it worked like a treat. He’d booked for us all to take part in a zombie airsoft activity, which we would have never even thought of; it was more intense and exhilarating than we assumed he’d even go for!

When we got down to the airsoft site, we had the time of our lives. The staff were all friendly and loved having a laugh with us- but as soon as we got in the war zone, the laughing and joking around was all over. It felt like we really were in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, with zombies rushing to attack us from all angles. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my life. Getting him this gift voucher really was a brilliant idea!
