The Cape Winelands Experience

This one-day tour in the Western Cape offers a spectacular driving experience in our custom-built Safari Porsche 911 vehicles on some of the most scenic routes in South Africa.

Departing from African Motorsport Safaris’ premises in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, we head to the seaside town of Gordon’s Bay where we continue with the R44 to Rooiels – a stunning 23-kilometer drive along the ocean. A short while later we stop for delicious coffee and croissants in the holiday village of Betty’s Bay. Our route then takes us via the Highlands dirt road to Elgin, with beautiful views of the winelands and mountains. Our route then take us over the Theewaterskloof dam bridge for some stunning photo opportunities. Next up is the famous Franschhoek Pass – a 13-kilometer winding route through the mountains and one of the best drives in the world! We stop at the summit outlook point for ice cold sparkling wine (alcohol- free) and photographs, marvelling at the Franschhoek valley and town below us. A 5-star Lunch is had in one of the many fine restaurants Franschhoek has to offer, with a glass of excellent wine. After lunch we head back to Stellenbosch via the Helshoogte pass and the onto the AMS premises.
