This unbelievable Aussie experience is the ultimate wild (and safe!) adventure for guests of all ages! Jump into a wetsuit then immerse yourself in a truly one of a kind in-water experience, as you wade deeper or sit in the sandy shallows of both our lagoons surrounded by friendly & affectionate animals. This experience provides a wonderful photo opportunity for guests. Please Note : Personal wetsuits are not permitted due to biosecurity (introduction of dormant aquatic microbiome) to be worn in our lagoons. SPECIFICS
All ages are welcome from 0-100 years old, it appeals to everybody in their own special way. No need to be able to swim, no swimming is involved! For swimming options please see the snorkel experiences Irukandji Entry Pass is available every 20 minutes from 9am till 3.40pm, at Irukandji we limit our visitor numbers to ensure a serene lagoon habitat, please check availability during busy periods as we do book out during some school holidays & public holidays. Please allow about 2 hours, however you may stay as long as you wish

The Discovery Pass is the most popular upgrade at Irukandji. Being protected from the elements keeping cool in summer and warm in winter the wetsuit enables you to sit right down in the water & get completely wet (up to your neck). Formerly known as the "Shark Encounter" this unbelievable Aussie experience is the ultimate wild (and safe ) adventure offered to any age. Feeling like a surfer in the wetsuit, visitors can really sit down and relax amongst the animals in Fingill Lagoon and wade right out in the middle in the amazing new Tropical Lagoon on the Zebra Shark side. A wonderful photo opportunity with large and small Rays and Sharks swimming around you in the deep water, feeding them, visiting with them, petting them standing in the deeper sections of the natural sandy beaches. THE LITTLE RAY CUDDLE $60 Packaged with ENTRY PASS (all ages welcome)

This intimate encounter is the ultimate experience for stingray lovers! These affectionate and friendly animals just love coming up for a cuddle on guests' laps, indulging in pats and attention. You will get a 20 minute experience in a 6pax intimate group with a number of different ray species. During your encounter you will learn lots about them and enjoy getting to know their sweet, playful personalities with a chance for your guide to take a photo of you and your family on your camera.
LITTLE RAY CUDDLE PACKAGE INCLUSIONS
Admission to the aquarium, entry into the lagoon shallows and both lagoon reefs in your wetsuit, shark food, interaction with the animals (petting/feeding), private access into Fingill Lagoon for 20 minutes during the encounter, interesting and informative animal talks and staff on hand for personalised attention. SPECIFICS
Children any age even babies participate in this activity with an adult Swimming not required. Please see snorkels for swimming experiences The Ray Cuddle is at a set time, please arrive on or before booked time
The Cuddle portion has a 20 minute duration Shallows/ lagoon exploration time is up to you, approx. 2 hours average Booking time is arrival time, to allow guests to check in and get into wetsuits
This experience is suitable for all ages. Children under 12 require an adult also holding a Little Ray Cuddle Pass. For multiple children one adult can supervise 1.5 children under 5 years old (ie. 1 adult for 1 child, 2 adults for 2 or 3 children).
Infants do not need a ticket to join with an adult with a ticket however they will need to purchase a pair of socks to be in the encounter, this can be done on the day or on the next page. The adult must be exclusively supervising the infant on their lap.

This unique encounter is a family favourite amongst shark lovers! A truly one of a kind experience, that allows guests of all ages, to get up close and personal with our beautiful & friendly Zebra Sharks. This encounter includes a 20 minute experience in a small intimate group of no more than 6 people per session. Led by an experienced fish keeper, guests will learn all about these amazing, endangered Sharks while getting the opportunity to interact with them, while they are being fed.

All Encounters and Snorkels have set times so please arrive on or before your booked time for those experiences. Entry & Discovery Passes are more flexible and it shouldn't matter too much if you are running late or decide to visit early.
Also available at the facility are hot showers, snacks and beverages as well as a fully stocked gift shop for you to enjoy before or after your encounter. Picnic tables and grassy areas are provided so feel free to bring lunch, stay as long as you want and relax in between your encounters with the animals.

The most thrilling and intense experience that Irukandji currently has to offer- feeding our 3 metre Tawny Nurse Sharks + cheeky Whitetip Reef Sharks while standing at the edge of the reef of our Tropical Lagoon. Guests are provided with a snorkel mask, allowing the guests to not only view the sharks swimming up to them from above the surface, but also having the opportunity to view under the water's surface while they take the food off the long and specialised feeding pole.

THE TURTLE CONSERVATION EXPERIENCE $ Packaged with ENTRY PASS (all ages)

The Turtle Conservation Experience is a truly unique activity for our Turtle lovers, our enthusiastic environmentalists and anyone with a determination to learn and make a difference. Spend 20 minutes with Patrisha, our cherished Green Sea Turtle, in an intimate small group setting with a maximum of 4 people. Participants of this experience are given the opportunity to sit with and touch Patrisha, being apart of her husbandry held by our knowledgable and dedicated staff. Gain insights into turtle conservation and the efforts of Sea Shelter, and capture a memorable photograph. Additionally, 5% of sales contribute to essential staff-led conservation research.


To gain the full Irukandji experience, arrive by 12:30 PM to get fitted into your wetsuit early and take advantage of our Discovery Pass. Enjoy the unique opportunity to sit with, touch, and feed stingrays, zebra sharks, and other marine life.
