McHenry Hohnen 's vineyards are managed using 100% biodynamic methods which are designed to improve the vitality and health of the soil. Biodynamic is similar to organic farming in that both take place without chemicals, but biodynamic farming incorporates ideas about a vineyard as an ecosystem, and also takes into account astrological influences and lunar cycles. Natural composts and manure teas are made onsite, no chemicals are used and in the main, lunar cycles are observed in administering the biodynamic regimes - "A better environment gives you a more enjoyable wine."

Busselton Jetty Train & Underwater Observatory:
One of our stops on the way to Margaret River will be in the idyllic beachside town of Busselton. Our destination is the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere, stretching out into the calm waters of Geographe Bay. We will catch the cute, red jetty train out to the end, enjoying 360-degree views of the Indian Ocean and the white, sandy beach on either side. At the end of the jetty, we will descend into the Underwater Observatory - one of only six in the world - where you can look out on the best artificial reef in Australia. The jetty piles are covered with colourful tropical corals and sponges and are home to more than three hundred different marine species.
Ngilgi Cave:
The Semi-guided tour begins with introductory talk while being led down the first chamber, visitors then explore at their own pace, a guide is stationed in the cave to answer questions and provide information on many areas of the cave with a ancient lands experience.
Day 1

Pick-up from Busselton Margaret River Airport:
To make the visit to WA super convenient, we will pick you up right from the Busselton Margaret River Airport with your luggage to start your regional experience
Busselton Jetty Train & Underwater Discovery Tour:

The next stop is Busselton, where we will take the jetty train to the end of the Busselton Jetty, and head down into the Underwater Discovery Centre for a viewing of the beautiful marine life.
Nookery Café:

Enjoy a two-course lunch including a glass of wine.
Ngilgi Cave:

Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse:

Guided tour provides a captivating insight into the functions of a working lighthouse, breathtaking panoramic of the Indian Ocean.

Day 2

Kingston Bakery Café:

Yahava Koffeeworks:

The first stop on our second day is at Yahava Koffeeworks, there you can enjoy a coffee tasting experience and be energised for the day ahead.
McHenry Hohnen:
McHenry Hohnen, where you can appreciate the sustainable, eco-friendly practices while tasting the fruitful results together with local meats and cheese on crackers.
Peacetree:

Peacetree is a small wine producer in the heart of Margaret River.
Vasse Felix:

Vasse Felix is our lunch stop, a delicious three course lunch and two generous glasses of wine paired with the meal at one of WA’s Top 50 Restaurants. Lastly, we will explore the vault and art gallery.
Passel Estate:
To complete your day indulge in a wine and cheese pairing at the bespoke Passel Estate.
Brewhouse:

Enjoy a cleansing ale before returning to your accommodation(guest expense) Drop-off at accommodation in Margaret River evening meal(guest expense all within walking distance of the accommodation).
Day 3

Pick up from your accommodation after breakfast (guest expense) including luggage and return to the Busselton Margaret River Airport for your flight back to Melbourne or should you want to extend your stay and take in more of our Southwest Region, explore Perth, a visit Rottnest Island ask our friendly team at the time of booking as they will be happy to assist you ensuring that you receive a memorable experience visiting the southern lands of Western Australia.
