Horse Riding Mount Samson

Trevena Glen Farm is Brisbane’s Best Family Farm experience! We love to help friends & family connect in a fun safe place.


The farm has horses, ponies, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, pigs, sheep, donkeys, and a dog .


Our '3hr Premium Animal Tour' includes horse riding and is a fantastic way to meet our animals with the group having their own tour guide. This tour lets you spend more time with the animals you really enjoy. Suitable for ages 4yrs and up. (Group discounts available) Things you might do on your tour:
(1) Grooming, leading and riding (dependent on weight) and leading our donkeys.
(2) Help to move or walk sheep and/or goats.
(3) Learn to lead our Alpacas on an extended walk around our farm
(4) Brush/wash our horses, lead them on a walk, and plait their manes (seasonal)
(5) Collect vegies from our garden, and feed/interact with our rabbits
(6) Pet, and feed our piggies
(7) Cuddle, groom and (sometimes) wash our guinea pigs
(8) Feed hens as well as collect eggs
(9) Collect your horse, saddle, and have a led horse ride around the farm for each participant (if requested). Riders must be aged between 3 and 65 and weight no more than 85kg (we have limitations on the availability of large horses for riders over 60kgs).
(10) Enjoy our complimentary drink and access to our VIP areas
We are closed on Sundays. Please contact us if a session is not available on a date and time that you would like to visit - we are often able to add sessions on request. A '3hr Premium Animal Tour' must be purchased for each attending adult, as children under 10yrs must be supervised. Please book a ticket for everyone in your group 2 years and over. A cheaper adult ticket is available for those not wanting a horse ride and complimentary tea/coffee. Prices on the website are for tours booked 8 hours or more in advance.


Please note: Tours and experiences that run on a public holiday will incur a 15% surcharge. Please note that all Private tours require a minimum of 3 people on these days for the tour to run so booking less numbers than this will be priced accordingly (to the 3 people minimum price).

Our Ride & Wine experience is designed to give you both on the ground & in the saddle experience with horses. Whether you have ridden before or this is your first time, this experience will allow you to gain skills and confidence through partnering with your horse as well as fun activities in the saddle!


Activities to expect:
Horse Experience
o This is a combined riding experience where you will have a horse each - each person will get a chance to complete the on ground and in saddle activities.
o Demonstration with one of our head coaches on horse behaviour, developing connections and leadership skills.
o Meeting your horse and spending time interacting with them through grooming, leading and putting into practice horsemanship skills.
o In the saddle activities to help you learn to communicate with and understand your horse (arena riding plus a trail around Trevena Glen Farm)
Social Hour!
o Wine and cheese platter/grazing box
o Choice of enjoying your nibbles at our picnic table under our beautiful fig tree or spend time playing some board games or a round of pool upstairs in our TGHQ space.
o Option for bonfire at certain times of year only (Please note extra cost of $20 - bonfire pit will be set up prior to social hour and can only be used for time allocated in booking confirmation).
Important Information
o This is an 18+ event only, ID must be shown for all attendees upon booking and arrival.
o Extra wine is available for purchase - however, we do trust that you will drink responsibly and have a designated driver allocated.
o All horse riding must be complete before any alcohol is consumed.
o Waivers will be provided for this event and must be signed electronically prior to riding.
o Boots with small heels are highly recommended but enclosed shoes must be worn to participate (no open toed shoes or sandals)
o Helmets will be provided - however riders are welcome to bring their own if they have one.
