Butter Box Canyon - Blue Mountains

This canyon is not for the faint-hearted. Three tricky abseils are negotiated before you reach the main creek, which starts with a bit of creek walking and scrambling around big boulders.
Soon the first highlight of the canyon is reached: the two main abseils which lead you down a vertical waterfall. The stance between the abseils is a chockstone, wedged in an airy position half way down the waterfall. This is canyoning at its best!
Another abseil and jump gets us to the end of the canyon. To walk out we sneak up through steep gullies between rock faces and walk along narrow ledges.
The excitement continues at an easy 10 meter rock climb 300 meters above the base of the canyon. Easy walking takes us back to the car park.
Established in 1989 we have taken over 100,000 people on adventures ranging from a 3-hour abseil session to multi-day snow and ice climbing courses.

Whungee Whengee Canyon - Blue Mountains

There are only 10 trips per year allowed in this Canyon
A long and narrow canyon, this is one of the hardest trips we run. The approach is via the Wollangambe exit track, then up and over the next ridge.
A 10 metre abseil takes you to the canyon floor. The canyon then narrows dramatically with several more abseils up to 15 metres and a few duck unders with pitch black tunnel swims.
The final spectacular section is called the green room, with its magical filtered light. We then descend the middle section of the Wollangambe Canyon passing 2 excellent water jumps on route.
The walk out is about 1.5 hours.

Established in 1989 we have taken over 100,000 people on adventures ranging from a 3-hour abseil session to multi-day snow and ice climbing courses.
