Your day begins with pick up from your accommodation before setting off in our premium Land Rover Discovery 4x4 vehicles. From the moment the tyres leave the bitumen, the adventure begins. Feel the thrill of our signature heart-thumping rock climb, take in sweeping coastal views, and discover ancient limestone bedding hidden amongst the white sand dunes — a rare and fascinating glimpse into the natural history of this incredible landscape.

From there, we continue into the world-famous Cape Le Grand National Park, where morning tea is enjoyed at Lucky Bay, one of Australia’s most iconic beaches. Guests can relax with refreshments, spot kangaroos on the sand, and take in the dazzling contrast of turquoise water and pure white shoreline.

The journey continues through some of Cape Le Grand’s most loved coastal locations, including Hellfire Bay and Thistle Cove. These stops offer dramatic granite headlands, sheltered bays, coastal walking opportunities and postcard-perfect photo moments.

After exploring the national park, we travel east towards Condingup for lunch at the iconic Condingup Tavern. This relaxed country-style lunch stop adds a true local touch to the day and gives guests time to unwind before the afternoon adventure begins.

The afternoon is all about remote coastal beauty. We head towards the Duke of Orleans Bay area to discover Little Wharton, Wharton Beach, Victoria Harbour and the ancient revealed forest exposed along the coastline. This section of the tour showcases some of Esperance’s most pristine beaches, wild ocean views and hidden natural features, with time to swim or snorkel when conditions are safe.

The drive can be filled with bright yellow canola fields, wildflowers, emus, kangaroos and the possibility of spotting whales along the coastline. It is a beautiful season for photography, nature lovers and guests wanting that colourful country-to-coast experience.

Autumn

Autumn is often loved for its calmer waters and minimal wind, making it a beautiful time for beach exploring, snorkelling and relaxed coastal touring. The days can be stunning, but the air can still feel cool, especially near the water, so guests should bring a scarf, jacket or warm layer.

Summer

Summer in Esperance can be hot, bright and wild. Conditions can change quickly, so guests should be prepared for anything — sunshine, wind, strong UV, cooler coastal breezes or sudden changes in beach conditions. Swimmers, towels, sunscreen, hats, water bottles and light layers are highly recommended.

Winter

Our tour departs Esperance Daily, starting with a 25km beach drive to the Cape Le Grand National Park via Wylie Beach onto Le Grand Beach. Entering the National Park from Le Grand Beach, we explore the rugged wilderness and beautiful scenery including Frenchman Peak, Mount Le Grand. Hellfire Bay and Thistle Cove.

From here we drive out onto the famous Lucky Bay Beach. Certified as having the whitest sand in Australia, the beach is also home to friendly kangaroos which we will stop to meet.

As we drive a few more kilometres to the far end of Lucky Bay, you will marvel at the turquoise water contrasting with the snow-white sand.

Stopping at the end of the beach, you will disembark the vehicle to enjoy a delicious morning tea of locally baked goods, together with tea, coffee, and cool refreshments.

You will then have some free time to explore, take pictures or relax on the beach while you soak up the natural beauty of the area.

Back aboard the comfort of our 4x4, we retrace our path back down Lucky Bay, through the National Park and back down Le Grand Beach to Wylie Bay, giving passengers on the other side of the vehicle expansive views of the Ocean as we traverse the white sands.

Along the way we venture into the impressive Sand-Dune system near Wylie Bay, climbing to the top of the highest dune for expansive views in our capable "Sand Rover" tour vehicle.

Departing the Sand Dunes, we head to Wylie Rock, where the "Sand Rover" will climb the 50-degree incline of the monolithic Granite outcrop for the best views of the entire Esperance Bay, all the way to Cape Le Grand National Park.

**Actual distance of beach driving may vary depending on tides and beach conditions. During times of very high tides, vehicle may only be able to travel one direction on the beach, with the other direction having to be travelled on the road.
