Talbot Bay & Horizontal Falls – A Natural Wonder: As we approach Talbot Bay, get your camera ready. We’ll orbit the world-famous Horizontal Falls – a sight that Sir David Attenborough called “one of the greatest natural wonders of the world.” Watch in awe as powerful tidal currents force water through two narrow gorges, creating a waterfall that appears to flow sideways. North to the Kimberley Coastline – Untouched Wilderness: From here, we head north, following the remote Kimberley coastline. This stretch of untouched wilderness is dotted with hidden coves, pristine beaches, and dramatic cliffs – a truly breathtaking sight from above. Montgomery Reef – An Iconic Natural Phenomenon: Soon, the spectacular Montgomery Reef emerges before you. As the tide falls, the reef dramatically rises out of the ocean, with cascades of water rushing off its sides. Home to marine turtles, rays, and reef sharks, this iconic natural phenomenon is one of the Kimberley’s most awe-inspiring sights. Return Flight to Derby: After soaking up the beauty of the reef, we turn back toward Derby. Enjoy the changing colours of the landscape as we cruise home – a perfect chance to reflect on the natural wonders you've just experienced. Once in Derby, you'll board the fixed wing to continue your return to Broome.

Your adventure begins with a scenic fixed-wing flight from Broome to Derby, offering sweeping views of the vast and rugged Kimberley wilderness. From Derby, you'll board our helicopter for a spectacular 190-minute flight that takes you deep into the heart of this ancient landscape. Touching down at Wijingarra Butt Butt (Freshwater Cove), a hidden coastal paradise only accessible by air or sea, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the Arraluli clan of the Worrora tribe, the Traditional Owners. With fresh water flowing from the ground year-round, you'll walk in the footsteps of one of the world’s oldest living cultures and hear how the Wijingarra (spotted quoll) created freshwater in the Lalai (Dreamtime) and see the ancient art of Yowjabai (Montgomery Reef) and more.
Guided by the Traditional Owners, you’ll take a moderate 2.5km (approximate) walk to a rock overhang adorned with sacred Wandjina rock art and Dreamtime stories. These remarkable artworks are brought to life through passionate storytelling, offering rare insight into the cultural and spiritual history of the Kimberley.
Before departing Freshwater Cove, take part in a traditional smoking ceremony, a heartfelt farewell and blessing for safe travels ahead.
