Transfer Archerfield

Designed to get you up in the World Record Holder SteadFast, the Classic Fighter Mission is a 45 minute adventure letting you experience first hand the thrill of flight in a famous World War Two fighter.

Before strapping in, your experience begins with an overview of the Yak-3, an in depth briefing
covering the flight followed by a detailed overview on safety. Then it’s off to the apron for a personal introduction to the beautiful Yak-3.
Once securely strapped in, we taxi out for takeoff. After a final takeoff briefing, we ease the throttle forward and let you experience the roar of a 2000 cubic inch radial engine - this is the same sound and experience that many young men heard as they took off on a mission over Northern Europe.
Now the adventure really begins. The first objective is a high-speed attack run across the Queensland border with a simulation of low level strafing – you will experience the thrill of being low and fast in a World War Two fighter……
We’ll then move to some classic fighter manoeuvres - combat aileron rolls, barrel rolls, and loops. We’ll pull G’s as we twist and turn to show you the true agility of this legendary aircraft and why this was truly a war winner. (Please note the aerobatic section of this flight is optional and can be substituted for some glorious straight and level flight)
Finally, we celebrate our victory with a high speed run through the valleys of Northern New South Wale past Mt Warning.
It’s then back to Archerfield where over the airfield you’ll experience the classic fighter “buzz and break” manoeuvre prior to approach and landing.
Following a full de-brief there will be an opportunity to take more photos, discuss the flight with your pilot and ask as many questions as you like.
Mission Area: Choice of Northern NSW, Moreton Bay and Islands, Including Gold Coast or Lake Wivenhoe and Glass house mountains.



Duration: One 45 minute Adventure, 30 min from take-off to landing. Allow approx. one hour for your total experience allowing for briefing and pre-flight, photo opportunities, de-brief and footage transfer if purchased.

Experience your childhood dream of becoming a ‘Top Gun fighter pilot’, ‘James Bond’ or ‘Mavrick’ with a Fighter Pilot aerobatic adventure flight in a Czechoslovakian L-39C Albatros Fighter Jet.
You'll undergoing a full mission briefing to discuss the flight's intensity, safety and communication procedures. After a detailed run through of the aerobatic manoeuvres, you’ll be kitted out in jet fighter attire including flight suit (optional) and a fighter helmet then make your way out to the L-39C and be strap in for the flight of a lifetime. After a final run through and system check you’ll be ready for the action to start.
The roar of the jet spooling up is one thing, but the sheer exhilaration of 4,000 pounds of jet firing you down the runway is simply mind-blowing! After take off you'll quickly ascend to altitude and after a final OK, you'll proceed to your mission area and complete a full range of aerobatic maneuvres - as mild or wild as you like! The L-39C is incredibly agile and you'll be looping, rolling and blasting through the skies with G-forces of up to +6.5 and speeds of up to 900 KM/H.
Following the aerobatic session, you'll make your way back to Archerfield for a de-brief and photo opportunities.

Flight upgrades are available on the day should you wish to extend your flight time.
