The Abyss at Magna offers the only INDOOR extreme sports center in the UK. From a single Indoor 150ft bungee jump to a 150ft abseil this is the location to be at. If just 1 activity won't cut it for you then why not do both as well as adding in a zipline (250ft in the air and reaches speeds of 30mph) or Powerfan (Attached with a harness at 150ft in the air to then free fall. The fan then slowing your decent within the last 30ft to slowly lower you to the ground). Whichever you choose, 1 activity or more, our centre is the place to be.
All our locations are run by the best instructors around. As jumpers themselves they absolutely love the thrill. They are also very strict on safety and will make sure your experience is one that you enjoy to the full and remember for a lifetime.

Indoor Bungee Jump
Indoor Bungee Jump at 150ft. Picture the scene: you are enveloped in semi darkness, spot lights whirl around Magna’s breathtaking structure, the Face of Steel, standing at 150ft. You start to climb the 143 steps to the jump zone, music pumps out of a wall of speakers, dry ice fills the air, and 7 huge video screens project images of what you are about to experience, And that’s before you’ve even taken the plunge. NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.

16 – 50 year olds can jump.
Over 50 years will need a doctors certificate.

For those working their way up to our Indoor Bungee Jump, the Triple Whammy Experience is a perfect option! This 3-in-1 activity pack unlocks three thrills at The Abyss @ Magna. Zip across The Face of Steel on the 250ft Zip Wire, then climb the steps before descending down the 120ft Abseil. Lastly, it’s time for the final thrill - The Drop! The Awesome Foursome Experience is truly the ultimate in adrenaline experiences! Hosted at The Abyss @ Magna, this 4-in-1 activity pack is sure to get your heart racing. First, you’ll be harnessed up for a speedy 250-ft Zip Wire, before taking on the first of many stair-climbs as you head to the Abseil platform, 120ft high in The Face of Steel. Once you’re sufficiently warmed up, it’s time to take on The Drop! This is a 120ft Freefall Experience - you’ll step off the platform and enjoy the indescribable feeling of freefall, before being slowed by the Power Fan to land gently on your feet! Excellent from start to finish , fantastic staff my daughter loved the whole experience.
We did did the whole event for a laugh. It's was crazy but well worth achieving the awesome foursome experience. It's great knowing that we confronted our fears with the help of the staff that had great humour.
I really enjoyed the Awesome Foursome. Everybody was super friendly too.

Your activity will take place in the £46 million Millennium project and award winning Magna Science Adventure Centre, providing you with the ultimate place to explore once you've been bungee jumping in Sheffield. The complex is also easily accessible by all forms of transport. By car it's accessible from the M1 - take junction 34 if you are travelling from the south, and junction 34 if you are travelling from the north. It's also 1 mile from Meadowhall Shopping Centre, where there is free parking and a train station.
