Point Prim Lighthouse & Eastern PEI Coastal Tour

Step away from the busy tourist routes and discover the quieter side of Prince Edward Island on this scenic private tour through the southeastern coast.
Travel along peaceful country roads and coastal shorelines where farming, fishing, and strong Scottish traditions have shaped the communities for generations. This region offers a glimpse of traditional Island life, with rolling farmland, red sandstone cliffs, historic churches, and working harbours.
The tour includes a visit to Point Prim Lighthouse , the oldest lighthouse on Prince Edward Island. Standing since 1845, this distinctive round brick lighthouse offers beautiful views over the Northumberland Strait and remains one of the Island’s most historic landmarks.
Along the way, we explore the rural community of Belfast , an area settled largely by Scottish immigrants in the early 1800s. The tour includes a stop at St. John’s Presbyterian Church , one of the oldest standing church structures on PEI and a symbol of the deep cultural roots of the area.
You’ll travel scenic backroads such as Jack’s Heritage Road , winding through farmland, wooded areas, and coastal landscapes that many visitors rarely see. Expect sweeping ocean views, red cliffs, quiet coves, and the authentic character of Island countryside communities.
Depending on time and guest interest, we may also include an optional stop at The Croft House in Selkirk Park or McPhail’s Homestead in Orwell , two historic sites that help tell the story of early Island settlement and rural life.

This relaxed private tour offers a genuine look at southeastern Prince Edward Island; a region rich in heritage, coastal beauty, and traditional Island communities. As a guide who was born and raised in the Belfast area, I’m always happy to share the stories and local history that bring this landscape to life.
