Mountain Biking Derby

Departing from the Derby Trailhead at 8.45am, we will shuttle you to the top of the Blue Tier where you'll flow your way through the sub-alpine, into the dense rainforest, and onto the world famous Big Chook descent before finishing at the Weldborough Pub.

Enjoy lunch at the historic pub and afterwards, we'll shuttle you to the top of Atlas. You'll find yourself weaving tightly through giant boulders and moss covered trees before reaching the outskirts of the Blue Derby trail network. From here, choose between the two advanced trails - Trouty and Black Dragon - or the two intermediate trails - Dam Busters and Krushkas - for your final descent back to Derby.
The Blue Tier and Atlas ride is Approximately 38kms.

This is the ultimate day of riding approximately 52 km of insane trail!


Depart from the Derby Trailhead at 8.45am to begin your adventure on the Top 13 km of the Bay of Fires trail. Fly through the best flow in Derby before jumping back on the shuttle to return to the top!
The second trail of the day will be the iconic Blue Tier, where you'll wind through dense rainforests and onto the famous Big Chook section. After whipping through the many berms, you'll pop out at the historic Weldborough Pub where you can grab some lunch and maybe a cheeky beverage.
The final shuttle of the day will deliver you to the top of Atlas, a fun a poppy trail that is the perfect mix of tech and flow. Atlas will link you onto the outskirts of the Blue Derby trail network where you can choose between four trails that will lead to the town of Derby.
Krushka's and Dam Busters are your two intermediate options, or if you're after an intense finish you can choose between Black Dragon or Trouty.
You'll have the option to return to Derby on the shuttle from Weldborough if you're too tired to complete the Atlas section.

The 42km Bay of Fires trail is the ultimate adventure ride that begins in the sub-apline of the Blue Tier and ends on the famous Bay of Fires coastline.
Departing from the Derby trailhead at 8.45am, we will shuttle you to the top of the Blue Tier where you will begin your adventure with 13km of the best flow in Derby! Following is an undulating trail that moves from the dense rainforest of the Blue Tier to the open coastal forests bordering the Bay of Fires coastline.


Finish with a final descent that delivers you to Swimcart Beach. You can then choose to be picked up from Swimcart Beach or continue riding to Binalong Bay where you can enjoy a pizza and drink at the Hub before we pick you up for the return to Derby.
