Bracebridge Fire & Ice Festival
We're heading Northbound again! This time to the Fire and Ice festival in Bracebridge. This is part of our small town festival series. Every winter, thousands head to Bracebridge where they shut the main street down and host a number of vendors. As the main street is on a hill, they even have snow tubing which runs down the center. Fair warning, there are long line ups to ride the snow tubes down the town
To make the journey even more exciting, we'll swing into Hardy provincial park where we'll do some snow shoeing or hiking (with shoe spikes). Imagine walking through the forest and lakes in the snow.
This trip will take place in our 15 passenger customized transit. Onboard we have a TV, basic WIFI, Games Console, Karaoke and more! However there is not a washroom. We will make washroom breaks every 1-2 hours.
This tour departs from Toronto (Yorkdale TTC Passenger pick up).

Spas and Stars
You've probably heard of Torrance Barrens by now. It was the worlds first Dark Sky Preserve. It is nestled in Muskoka 2 hours north of Toronto. On this trip we'll head to the Muskoka Beer Spa which is in the small town of Torrance. Here you will have ample time to sit in the saunas and nurture yourself into November.
Muskoka Beer Spa sits on Clear lake, which is what the brewery is named after - Clear Lake Brewery. Sampling, saunas, sayonara to summer.
For those that want to move those feet, we will offer an optional hike of Hardy Lake Provincial Park (We won't do the full 8km, just the B trail which is shorter).
After the brewery, we'll head to Torrance Barrens to spend 30 minutes staring at the sky. We can't promise the stars on this trip, but if we get a clear night, the stars will be a bonus! The Spa and Hike will be a great day out. The stars will be the cherry on the cake if we get a clear night.
This shuttle will take place in our 15 passenger customized transit. Onboard we have a TV, basic WIFI, Games Console, Karaoke and more! However there is not a washroom. We will make a washroom break on the way there and on the way back.

Camping in Killbear
Camping in Killbear with a day visit to the famous Killarney Crack and a beach afternoon at Wasaga. If you want to sign up, we're on the same page. As part of our summer of camping, it wouldn't be complete without hiking on one of the most iconic trails - La Cloche Silhouette trail! We'll tackle one section called the Crack which goes through some of the oldest rock formations on the planet. Special note, this trail has a climb at the end which is akin to a scramble. For this, we do not advise bringing young folk on this trip. We also must stress that this hike is classed as difficult, it's not a "walk in the park" and will require some level of fitness. If you want to join the trip and not hike the last part which is the climb - that's fine too.
After Killarney, we'll head south to Killbear Provincial Park. where we'll set up camp. All your equipment is included - Tent, Sleeping bag, Liner, Matt and Pillow. We'll also cook 2 campfire meals together. If the skies are kind, we'll stargaze and see what we can find in the night sky. It's worth noting the famous Killbear tree, said to be Ontario's most photographed tree, currently has braces.
On the second day, there will free time in the morning to enjoy the rocky shoreline or numerous beaches in the park. We'll then head South to Wasaga Beach - the world's longest freshwater beach. After soaking in the sun, we'll head to our final stop - the Collingwood Brewery for an end of trip refreshment (soft or hard).
VERY IMPORTANT - we do 3 people per tent. If you are a couple and want your own tent, get in touch with us. There is a small fee for your own tent.
This tour will take place in our 15 passenger customized transit. Onboard we have a TV, basic WIFI, Games Console, Karaoke and more! However there is not a washroom. We will make washroom breaks every 1-2 hours.

FAQ's
What's included?
☑️ Return transportation
☑️ Entry permits for Killarney & Killbear
☑️ Northbound Driver Tour leader - Wilderness first aid certified
☑️ Camp equipment - tent, sleeping bag, matt, pillow, liner
☑️ 2 camp fire meals
Dietary requests (food)
We often get asked if we can accommodate dietary restrictions. The short answer is yes, if we know about them. Please let your tour leader know at the start of the trip if you have any restrictions so they can tailor their food shop. E.g., Vegetarian, no pork, etc. In some instances, we may ask for your assistance should it be outside our area of knowledge.
Why can't I see more dates?
We would love to offer a super busy program packed with events, but that's not how supply and demand works. At the moment, we are aiming to offer a wide variety of trips to cater to many different tastes. As we grow, our offerings will grow too. You can see what we're up to each week by clicking on the calendar in the menu.
Parking
We do our pick-ups from Yorkdale TTC passenger pick-up. We suggest taking public transportation to the meeting point. If you must take the car, the options are to park at Wilson Passenger pick-up and parking—this is free on the weekends and subject to availability. We would not suggest parking at Yorkdale Mall as vehicles may be ticketed or towed after 5 hours.
How many people per tent?
If you would like your own tent for two people, there is a supplemental charge of $20 per tent. By using more tents, we have to do more work after to clean them. We usually aim for 3 people per tent. We use 4-person Eureka tents, which are mostly 4-season. When not requested, tents are divided by gender. In the case where adults want to share of the same gender, we will do our best to accommodate requests if everyone knows each other. We will not place same gender adults together who do not previously know each other. There may be some tents with fewer than 3 people due to the way the numbers land. Either way, 3 people to a 4-person tent is still very spacious. If you want 4 people in a tent as that's your friend group size, that works too.
Can I bring my pet?
We love animals, but we can't allow pets, we’re afraid. We will designate a few pet-friendly dates each year, but it's impossible for us to know if anyone has an allergy to dogs or cats, etc., ahead of time, and we don't want to cause any reactions in an enclosed space. We really do think dogs are paw-fect! And we will aim to offer some pet-friendly dates which will be clearly listed in the future.
