Giraffe Walk & Game Drive
SUNRISE / SUNSET GIRAFFE WALK
Giraffes are most active during the early morning and late afternoon. As they gracefully feed on the lush greenery, you have the perfect opportunity to observe their fascinating behaviours and interactions while we walk with them through the bush.
Guests are transported in a custom-built safari 4×4 vehicle by our knowledgeable guide, known as the giraffe-whisperer. On the way to see the giraffes, we will encounter various wildlife, such as Zebras, Wildebeest / Gnu, Nyala, Impalas and various wildlife on the reserve.
When the giraffes are visible, guests may disembark from the vehicle and guided by an experienced guide, you will walk and follow the Giraffes through the bush as they feed and interact with each other. This is your opportunity to take special and personal photos and videos with the giraffes. This is a once in a lifetime experience – for sure!

Beverages: Before departing the lodge on the tour, we will get your beverage order to be enjoyed on the jeep after the walk with the Giraffes. To be paid at the lodge, after your tour.
Safety: Although giraffes are not known to pose any significant danger to visitors, we strongly encourage you to fully comply with your guide’s instructions for a safe and enjoyable experience. An indemnity must be completed by all guests. No children under 4 years of age. It is very important that children behave well, or they will spoil the experience for the whole group.

At our base camp, Valley Bushveld Country Lodge, Off R75, Cockscomb Road, Greater Addo area. Report to the lodge. Code for the entrance gate will be sent with your reservation.
When - Giraffe Addo Adventures operates year-round and on public holidays, except for Christmas Day (December 25th) and New Year’s Day (January 1st).
Weather - We are known for having good weather and sunny days, even during winter. In rainy conditions we can’t do the safari as the road surface are slippery and not a nice experience getting wet.
Wear - Please wear comfortable closed shoes (not open sandals) and bring a jacket
Bring - Don’t forget to pack sunglasses, a camera, a hat (for summer), and sun protection.

Addo National Park Tour
A day tour in Addo Elephant National Park is an unforgettable way to experience one of South Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. Here’s what you can expect during a typical day visit with our experienced guide that is going to Addo for the last 35 years.
Wildlife Sightings
Addo is most famous for its elephants—over 1200 of them roam the park. But there's much more:
• Big 5: Elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard (rare), and black rhino.
• Other animals: Warthogs, zebras, kudu, eland, red hartebeest, jackals, hyenas, and meerkats.
• Birds: Over 400 species, including the flightless dung beetle (unique to Addo), ostriches, and secretary birds.
We will be touring the Northern and Southern sections of the park and going to all the water holes where we will have the best chance of seeing these giants up close. This tour is a private tour because we do not mix guests from different families. This tour gives you the best picture opportunities possible in a comfortable closed Volkswagen Caddy vehicle.
Duration: Day safari in a closed vehicle – max 4 people from one family
Time: Vehicle depart Valley Bushveld Country Lodge at 8h00am. You need to arrive at the lodge by 07h30am
Cost: R2600 per person for the PRIVATE tour. Only you and the guide so you have his full attention. Minimum of 2 people required for the tour. For SOLO guests a single supplement fee of R2600 must be added.
