Scuba Diving Cape Town City Centre (MTT)

Join us on an awe inspiring expedition into the world of the Great White Shark and interact with one of nature's apex predators. If you're searching for a once in a lifetime experience to get up close and personal with these magnificent predators, you can get a opportunity to cage dive and see eye to eye the Great White Sharks in the waters of Gansbaai, off the southern coast of South Africa. Just a 2.5-hour drive from Cape Town, you will have the opportunity to dive in Dyer Island and Shark Alley, the famous Great White shark diving region.

An early departure from Cape Town for the 2.5 hour drive to Gansbaai. On arrival at the Great White Shark House in Gansbaai breakfast will be provided. Afterwards, register for your wetsuit size and receive a pre trip safety briefing as well as a talk on the living processess of the Great White Shark. After the briefing take a walk to the harbour to board the waiting boat that will take you out to Dyer Island and Shark Alley.

Dyer Island and Shark Alley
Sailing time to Dyer Island is approximately 20 minutes. The boat should be out to sea for 2 - 3 hours depending on shark activity, weather and sea conditions as well as diver numbers. On anchoring at Dyer Island and Shark Alley, you will get the opportunity to observe on deck the Cape Fur seal, a variety of sea birds, the Southern Right Whale (migration season - July to November), and the Great White shark. A wetsuit and a diving mask will be provided and the dive will be undertaken from the safety of a diving cage, which is attached to the boat and floats next to it. This is the moment to share an eye to eye encounter with these majestic creatures. No diving experience is required.

Post Dive.
On completion of your dive and the return to Shark House, you can enjoy tea/coffee, vegetable soup and bread to warm you up. Shower facilities are available to freshen up before your return (for own account).

The tour ends with a drop off at your Cape Town hotel.
