Experience the incredible thrill of getting into the water with Nile Crocodiles at Afrikanos in Gansbaai, South Africa.

Our unique crocodile diving experience allows you to get exceptionally close to these powerful and fascinating animals from the safety of our purpose-built pool enclosure, separated from the crocodiles by a state-of-the-art stainless-steel net. At Afrikanos we do not stick you in a cage but let you safely FREE DIVE with these majestical creatures.

Your experience begins with a fascinating educational introduction to crocodiles, followed by a guided crocodile pond tour. You will then have time to prepare for your unforgettable in-water encounter.

Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, an adventure seeker or simply looking for an experience you'll never forget, this is one African adventure you won't want to miss!

The in-water crocodile encounter lasts up to 60 minutes.
Guests should arrive in time for registration, the crocodile educational briefing and guided pond tour before preparing for the diving experience.
Secure lockers, warm showers and clean restroom facilities are available.
Children under 6 years of age are not permitted to participate.
An adult must accompany children between 6 and 12 years of age.

Afrikanos also has a restaurant, bar & grill as well as a small courier shop on site, making it easy to enjoy a meal or browse our range of souvenirs before or after experience.

GETTING THERE: Guests can make their own way to Afrikanos at 48 Van Bloemenstein Street, Danger Point, Gansbaai. This is a self drive experience.

When - Crocodile diving encounters are available Tuesday to Sunday at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.
During South African school holidays, diving encounters are available daily.

Closed only on Christmas Day.

Wear - Wear comfortable swimwear and bring warm clothing, a windbreaker and comfortable shoes.
Gansbaai can be cool and windy, so warm layers are recommended.

Bring - Please bring swim wear, sunscreen and your camera!
