Welcome to our superb clay shooting site in Orston, Nottinghamshire.
Located approximately 15 miles from Nottingham we boast the highest standard of tuition and a mix of shooting disciplines including English Sporting, Skeet, and Down the Line to challenge all levels of shooters. So for your next birthday, stag or hen party, or just a day out with some friends why not book a session and come down for a shoot?
Please note: Dogs are allowed to attend the activity but must be on a lead at all times
As well as an awesome clay shoot and great customer service we can also offer our purpose built clubhouse serving hot and cold food and drinks, a licenced bar, ample parking and a shop on site.

Corporate Full Day Shoot
Our full days shooting package encompasses the ultimate experience for either novice or experienced shots. Instructors will guide your team around a choice of over 20 sporting stands with expert instruction. Formatted usually with a morning practice session followed by lunch then an afternoon competition on the sporting with a team flush where up to 5 people shoot at once at random appearing targets! This is concluded by prize giving and afternoon tea. Also includes Unlimited clays and cartridges. Please bring a cap with you.

I had a great ‘give it a go’ session with Steve. Extremely patient and knowledgeable. I’ll be booking in for lessons with Steve as I’ve not shot since I was a teenager and Steve instilled that excitement for the sport back in to me.
First class experience, from arrival onwards the day was first class. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the instructor was professional and knowledgeable with clear communication and helpful advice, the equipment and ranges were excellent and the refreshments were delicious. A great experience for my grandson and me. I would certainly recommend, we will be back!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day at the Big Shoot. Very well organised and safety was paramount and some of us had never shot before. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back ourselves
My son bought me a gift voucher for Christmas as I've always fancied trying shooting. From walking in the door we were looked after. The lady in the shop was so friendly and welcoming and put me at ease as I was a little bit nervous. Dave was our instructor . What a lovely man great fun very patient and very experienced. I can't say I was very good at it and only hit a few clays but loved it and left wanting to have another go. Definitely will book again and also give as a gift for other family members to try. Thank you to all who made it a great experience and good fun.

Excellent day, the clay shoot was well organised, very good facilities and the grounds were vast and very well kept. Food was good. A massive thank you to our instructor Chris, a top man he made the whole experience great and very enjoyable, he has a great personality and we had a good laugh. Would definitely recommend The Big Shoot, a great day out

As our Orston Clay Pigeon Shooting venue can be found just a short distance away from the A46, A52, and A1 road networks, it couldn't be easier to access us. We're around a 30 minute drive away from Nottingham centre, with great links to Grantham, Newark-on-Trent, and other surrounding areas.
