Kayaking Surfers Paradise

Hire a single kayak from Go Vertical at Budds Beach, create your own self guided tour of the Broadwater and Nerang River. Pre-booking required. The kayak hire includes a high quality kayak and equipment, life jackets for participants, local guide map for the area and a safety briefing.
If you wish to do a one way paddle, drop off will be at The Spit Location in Main Beach** (Muriel Henchmen site) and you will return to Go Vertical at Budds Beach in Surfers Paradise. If you are wanting to do the one way paddle, you must arrange this at least 24 hours before the hire by contacting the office.

Start the lesson by getting to know the equipment along with a safety briefing so you know what to look for on the water with current conditions. We have double, single ands kids kayaks to learn on... It creates so much fun & laughter... and also the relaxing side of the tranquil state of being on the water and feeling the serenity.
Fun way to learn kayaking from one of our professional kayak guides, where they will explain paddle technique, show you water savvy tips and get you confidant to paddle like a pro.
Our one hour lesson includes all equipment for this fun and informative 1 hour lesson. Perhaps hire a kayak afterward and go explore the local waterways or opt for one of our fun kayak tours on another day.

The Surfers Paradise kayak tour starts by launching our kayaks from the beautiful “ hidden gem ” of Budds Beach, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Experience Surfers Paradise from a kayak, gently gliding on the gorgeous Nerang River past the skyline of Surfers Paradise taking in all marine life and scenery along the way. Photo opportunities are in abundance and our friendly professional instructors will ensure they get the best angle when capturing plenty of perfect memories for you to enjoy. Cruising the river, taking in the nature of the river bays to the dramatic skyline of the high-rises, you’ll be posing in front of Q1 or on the gorgeous nature trail of the Isle of Capri for photos.
Our tour includes a stop off at our famous “Home Of The Arts”, known as “HOTA”, where we meander through the park and gardens, perhaps take a quick peak at one of the galleries and enjoy the lawns for a rest. Take in the views along the sculpture walk whilst learning about local history.

This unique tour is great for families and the best fun way to experience the river and create wonderful memories of your stay here on the Gold Coast. Allow up to 2.5 hours for this experience, available on Fridays 9am to 11am. Afternoon sessions, Twilight sessions or additional days are available for group bookings or corporate groups, please contact Go Vertical to make these bookings!
