Monster Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a great way to get out doors with a group of friends, family or colleagues. Its a 2 hour activity filled with action packed paddling, games and exploration. This tour gets you out on the open ocean where we experience chance encounters with dolphins and seals. Our experienced guides and coaches (all qualified lifeguards) will safely paddle you around this spectacular area of natural beauty and show you around this gorgeous part of Cornwall.

The SUP Surf Co. offer a variety of Stand Up Paddle Surf Lessons.
If you are looking to learn to Stand Up Paddle Surf in a dynamic environment on great equipment with individual attention and specialised coaching then this is the course for you and a friend or family member!
Private 2 on 1 lessons provide you with the tools to confidently Paddle on your own in all conditions. It’s a fast track surfing skills course, designed to get you out the back of the line up and surfing green, unbroken waves in a safe and fun environment.
If you can already surf then this course will aid your learning and fast improve your skills.

Lessons are 2 hours long and include all your equipment for the lesson.
Free use of all our facilities at Walkabout, secure lock up men’s and ladies change rooms, hot showers.
25% off selected food and drinks through the Walkabout Bar.
This course covers Level 1-3 in the following order,

Level 1 | beginner & entry level
Balance, standing up and basic paddle technique.
Level 2 | intermediate
Paddleboarding in moving water, beach and ocean safety. Paddle techniques .
Level 3 | intermediate & advanced
Surfing and advanced paddle techniques to equip the paddler to surf confidently and safely in waves on their own.
Please note: If you havent been Stand Up Paddle Boarding before we recommend starting from the level one course and developing your skills. Try our Starter Pack to build a great foundation. This will give you confidence in the water and help you learn at a faster rate.
We can adapt this private lesson to suit your needs and abilities. We all learn at a different pace so please get in touch to discuss your options on private lessons.

The SUP Surf Co. offer a variety of Stand Up Paddle Lessons. The Starter Pack is our most popular package. It is available to all levels, starting with beginner courses going all the way through to progressive week long intensive courses including accommodation, meals, yoga or other activities that we offer.
You will progress and learn new skills each time you surf with us.
If building a great foundation and becoming a confident and independent Stand Up Paddle Surfer is what you’d like to become then this is the course for you!
We will guide and instruct you through 4 lessons, all of which are designed to get you surfing confidently, on your own, consistently making top to bottom turns, cutbacks and other slick surfing manoeuvres.
All lessons include equipment and free use of our facilities at Walkabout, secure ladies and men’s lock up change rooms and hot showers.

We are located a stone’s throw from the beach.

Level 1 | beginner & entry level
- 2 hour lessons.
- beach warm up and instruction, standing on your board, foot placement for optimum paddle stokes and technique.
- entry in and out of the ocean, how to safely move in and out of the waves with your equipment. Where to position yourself in the ocean to avoid danger. Water reading skills, ocean and beach safety.
- the best type of equipment to learn on and how to balance efficiently on your paddle board. How to get the best out of basic paddle techniques.
- selecting the right equipment for your ability to achieve the best results.

Level 2 | intermediate
- 2 hour lesson.
- beach warm up and refresher lesson.
- comfortable carrying your equipment through moving water, and learning to paddle over waves past the impact zone onto flatwater and out of the line of fire!
- stability, using your paddle to stay on the board, steering the board efficiently, staying safe and being in control of your board!
- advanced paddle strokes and techniques, optimising your paddle strokes for flat water paddling or surfing.
- step 5 - catching waves (optional)
- surf etiquette

Level 3 | intermediate & advanced paddlers
- surfing efficiently on your own from an entry position going into the ocean and stand up paddling over waves into the line up.
- surfing waves, top to bottom turns and surfing, learning and practicing surfing manoeuvres like cutbacks.
- best paddle techniques for catching waves.
- experimenting with new equipment and finding the boards that work best for you in flat and moving water.


Lesson 4 | Guided Free Surf and Photo Session
- All equipment supplied, suitable boards for the days conditions and off we go! Your coach will guide you through where you need to be, priority in the line up, wave selection and they’ll be there to coach you from the side lines, guiding you every step of the way.
Free photos will be available after the session.
