Looe Key Reef Dive Trip — Two Sites, Complimentary Divemaster

There are dive destinations, and then there is Looe Key. Consistently ranked the #1 dive destination in North America and #10 in the world, Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary is the kind of reef that reminds you why you learned to dive in the first place. After 7,000 years of coral growth, this is one of the most biologically dense reef systems on the planet — and you’re about to drop into the middle of it.
Over 150 species of fish. More than 50 coral species — staghorn, elkhorn, star, brain, and fire corals rising from the sandy bottom in formations found nowhere else on the continental United States. Sea turtles gliding through the water column. Nurse sharks cruising the bottom. Eagle rays sweeping past in silence. Barracuda holding position in the current.
This is not a typical reef dive. This is Looe Key.
Two Looe Key Sites. Four Hours on the Water.
Every trip visits two different Looe Key sites, with one hour at each location to explore. Our captains select sites each day based on real-time conditions — wind, visibility, and sea state — putting you on the best water the reef has to offer. Please note that conditions occasionally restrict us to one site.
Your Complimentary Divemaster Is in the Water With You.
Every Looe Key Reef Dive Trip includes a complimentary divemaster in the water. Our guides are there to show you the highlights of the reef, point out marine life, and add an experienced dive professional to every dive. Follow the guide through the reef or explore independently with your dive buddy — the choice is yours. Solo diver? Your divemaster is your buddy.
Divers and Snorkelers? Everyone Rides Together.
If your group includes both divers and snorkelers, we can accommodate everyone on the same boat — no splitting up, no separate trips. The Holiday Princess is specifically designed for mixed groups, giving us the flexibility to meet almost any combination of participants and keep families together on the water.
Requirements
• Open Water Diver certification (any agency)
• Activity level: Easy / Beginner-friendly
• Medical history form required — guests cannot participate if under the influence of drugs or alcohol or with medical conditions that put themselves or others at risk
Schedule
• Departure times: 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM
• Duration: Approximately 4 hours
• Check in 60 minutes before departure (Important)

Dive Preparedness
In the interest of your safety, please be aware of the following:
• If it has been more than one year since your last scuba dive, your first dive will be accompanied by one of our complimentary dive guides.
• If it has been more than two years since your last scuba dive, you will be required to take a Scuba Refresher course or Scuba Tune-Up before joining a reef dive trip.
